Experience #Hashtags on Google Search Results Now

Google #HashtagsGoogle announced that Google search will now support #Hashtags which would fetch Google+ posts on search results pages. When comparing the recent Google updates, you will know that it is an uncluttered fact that Google is synchronizing Google+ with all its assets. After the Authorship markup, there came a new era and now Google+ posts on results pages will get Google+ a massive hike.

As stated by Google’s Zaheed Sabur

“When you search on Google for a hashtag, say [#AmericasCup] or [#WaterfallWednesday], a set of relevant Google+ posts may appear to the right of regular results.”

Just as many other social media profile uses hashtags to sort out and discover conversations, Google introduced it to its Google+ on May earlier this year. As a result they are now in search results.

The one restriction with Google Hashtag results is that you will be able to see only the publicly shared posts and the ones that were shared with you.

At the right hand side you will be able to see only one post with an up/down arrow which would allow you to scroll to the previous or next post. If you click on to a post, you would be directed to Google+ where you can see the full set of relevant posts.

One amazing thing you would find here is that the links for the same hashtags for other social media sites like Facebook and Twitter appears on the bottom of the Google+ post on Search Results page. Expecting more updates from Google in the coming future.
