It is must that a Video sitemap should be submitted to google which provides metadata information about the video content. 

Mandatory Video-Specific Tags:

Providing the following information along with the URL( URL of the page with video), to search engine crawler is mandatory,

Mandatory Field Synatx Description
Title <video:title> Title should be in max 100 chars, plain text, HTML entities should be escaped or wrapped in a CDATA block.
Description <video:description> Description should be in max 2048 chars, plain text, HTML entities should be escaped or wrapped in a CDATA block.
Play Page URL <loc> It is the landing page of the URL from the SERP. It should be unique.
Thumbnail URL <video:thumbnail_loc> URL pointing to the video thumbnail. Images must be at least 160 x 90 pixels and at most 1920x1080 pixels. Images should be in .jpg, .png, or. gif formats.
Video Location <video:video> Encloses all information about the video
